All canvas prints are made to the highest quality Fine Art “Giclee” standards and finished with a matte protective coating for many years to come.
Canvas Type
Museum Canvas Matte – 100% cotton: A high quality canvas with a smooth surface, fine detail and high archival life which meets the longevity requirements of galleries and museums. Suitable for fine art reproductions and most other artwork and photographs. No optical brighteners are added which can influence the colour and longevity of other canvas products.
Photo Art Canvas Matte – Poly-cotton: A high quality canvas similar in overall appearance to the Museum Canvas, with a little more surface texture like a traditional canvas. Designed to meet the longevity requirements of galleries and museums. Suitable for fine art reproductions and most other artwork and photographs. No optical brighteners are added which can influence the colour and longevity of other canvas products.
Edge Wrap
Canvas prints are made with an extra ‘border’ which is designed to wrap around the stretcher bars. The wrapped border is typically 5cm wide plus a little extra added for handling and stretching.
Mirror Wrap: The edge of the canvas is reflected onto the sides, giving the effect of a seamless transition. In most cases this provides a very effective illusion. If the image has prominent features near the edge, a face for example, it will be wrapped onto the sides and may look out of place.
Image Wrap: The outer edge of the image wraps directly around the frame. Make sure extra space is provided in the image.
Solid colour: The edges can be filled with a solid colour such as white, black or a colour picked from the image. Please advise the colour in the notes, or by email, etc.
Stretching and Framing
Rolled Canvas: A canvas print ready for stretching.
Stretched Canvas: A finished canvas print, stretched over a frame and ready to hang.
Stretched with Floating Frame: A finished canvas print, stretched, with an outer timber frame.
