Why print with John?
My print service is truly a service, it’s more than just a lab pushing out prints.
About the Service:
- I listen and customise each job to your needs, working closely with artists and photographers.
- You may book an appointment to discuss – big or small.
- I check and optimise files for printing, drawing on years of experience to get them right.
- I can also print direct if that’s what you prefer.
- I can help answer your technical questions and can provide advice.
- I am often available after hours, weekends and times when others are closed.
- I can (and often have) sourced unique media for specific jobs.
Process & Materials
- My process is fully calibrated from screen to print for colour accurate results.
- My printers and materials are suitable for museum quality work, exhibitions or long term presentation in homes & businesses.
- Care is taken with every job, for example wearing gloves to avoid touching fine art prints by hand.
- At times I can provide unique processes, such as mounting large prints, framing or re-framing and other bits and pieces.
Timing and Logistics
- Prints are typically completed within a week.
- Canvas takes longer as it requires drying and varnish.
- I am unavailable at times, so if timing is critical, please ask first!
- I am located 20 minutes outside of Wangaratta – contact me to arrange a visit.
- Drop shipping available.
Pricing
- My prices are competitive for the type of work completed.
When to choose another way?
- You may not need the high level of perfection and care I provide.
- The studio is run from a separate building on my property, this may be less convenient for some than a typical walk-in business.
- Being a ‘one man show’ I will be unavailable at times, so if timing is critical, please ask first!
